What is the Courage in Common Ribbon?

The Courage in Common Ribbon is a multi-colored awareness ribbon designed to unite communities around veteran mental health awareness. It honors veterans, military families, and everyone committed to supporting those who have served.

What do the colors represent?

Purple

Represents Purple Heart Cities and honors those who were wounded or killed in service to our country.

Lime Green

Represents Veteran-Focused Mental Health Advocacy Communities — a symbol of hope, healing, and resilience.

Crimson Red Stripe

Represents the Marine Corps League and its unwavering commitment to veterans.

Black and Gold Stripe

Represents the Suicide Awareness and Remembrance Flag Organization.

Light Blue Stripe

Represents AFSP's Talk Saves Lives program — conversations that save lives.

Emerald Green Stripe

Represents the Veterans Council of Glen Cove, who launched the Courage In Common movement.
